Best NCAA Tournament Cinderella Runs
#1 - Villanova, 1985 National Champions
It was the run to define a Cinderella run. The 8th-seeded Wildcats defeated 9th seed Dayton, top seed Michigan, 5th seed Maryland, 2nd seed North Carolina, and another 2-seed in Memphis State to set up a showdown with rival Georgetown. The Hoyas were the defending national champions and a heavy favorite to win it again, but 'Nova shot an amazing 79% from the floor to pull off the title game upset and take their place in NCAA history.
