College Football's Top Surprises of 2007

#14 – Dennis Dixon, Oregon

The Ducks’ senior signal caller emerged as a very strong midseason Heisman candidate as he was completing 67 percent of his passes for a 161.2 passer rating. He led the Oregon Ducks to wins over #12 USC and #4 Arizona State to put the Ducks in the national championship picture. His season ended too soon however, as November 15 knee injury resulted in the Ducks losing to Arizona. Oregon was helpless in their next two games without Dixon, losing to UCLA and Oregon State.
