2008 College Players to Watch: Quarterbacks

14. Curtis Painter, Purdue – Painter will battle Ohio State’s Todd Boeckman for the top Big 10 quarterback award in 2008. Last season, we saw much improvement for Painter as he threw eight less interceptions and seven more touchdowns than in 2006. Painter will direct most of his passes to receiver Greg Orton who has caught 125 passes in the past two seasons.

2007 Stats: 356 of 569 for 3,846 yards and 29 touchdowns. Rushing – 3 touchdowns.
