Texas High School Quarterbacks to Watch in 2008

# 1 – Garrett Gilbert, Lake Travis

Nothing puts a bigger spotlight on a Texas high school quarterback than being committed to the University of Texas. Throw in the fact that Gilbert is coming off a state championship season, and this future Longhorn will plenty of attention this year. While everyone is a little concerned about the fact he is coming off shoulder surgery, Gilbert looked fine in 7-on-7 this summer, and he should be in for another huge year.
