Miami 1987 – After questions were raised that head coach Jimmy Johnson “couldn’t win the big one”, Miami would respond with a 1987 season where they went undefeated for the regular season yet again and winning the school's second national title in five years by defeating Johnson's old tormentor Oklahoma for the third season in a row.
