College Football Coaching Changes for 2008
#18 – Jerry Kill, Northern Illinois
Replacing Joe Novak (retired)
Kill (right) makes the trip north from Southern Illinois to NIU, where he faces a tough task in replacing the very popular Joe Novak. Novak retired after 12 seasons with the Huskies and had seven consecutive winning seasons before last year’s injury-plagued 2-10 campaign. Kill put together a 56-32 at SIU, and his strong recruiting ties in the Midwest should serve him well at NIU.

Last week, Florida had a .9833 average and the Crimson Tide ranked second with a .9521 average, with that number being computed by averaging the percentage totals of the Harris Interactive poll, USA Today poll and computer rankings.
Florida and Alabama both won big this weekend and have one final hurdle remaining until the SEC Championship Game on December 5, which figures to serve as a de facto national semifinal if both stay undefeated until that date. The Gators host Florida State on Saturday, while the Crimson Tide visit Auburn for their annual Iron Bowl matchup. ... Continue
