The only reason why Kentucky won these meaningless polls is because UK fans troll the internet so hard! They are worse than Michigan football fans.

Racist? Really?
Why is it that everyone thinks kentucky fans are racist? My best friend is black.>-(

Rob is blind
Props to UK for being the winningest program (or is it UCLA?), but the following statement is just asinine:

"Not only are you all inferior in every bit of history, you are inferior today!"

KU gave you Rupp. KU gave UNC Smith. KU's first coach was James freaking Naismith. John McClendon learned under Naismith and went on to break down so many coaching color barriers. Phog Allen almost singlehandedly got basketball into the Olympics in 1936, making it the world's game. More Hall of Famers than any other school, and more 1st Team All-Americans than any other school.

Yeah, you're right. KU is inferior to UK in every historical sense.

As far as today...are you serious? Speak to us after you've won something.

UK - Bad Dream
UK has been a bad dream for some time now. Easily the most racist fan base in all of college sports.

Mark it dude, KU will p!@#$% UK in wins either this season or next. Your decline will continue.

Face UK, you are what you always have been, KU's !@#$% child.

I really hope we meet somewhere down the road next season, Gayhawks.

Youll never...EVER be the program we are.

Youll never have as many wins. Never have as many banners. Never come close to having as many die-hard fans. Youll never come close.

All you suckers who've badmouthed Kentucky basketball the past few years better get ready...cause we're getting ready to hit college basketball like a bad dream.

KU 150 Uk 95 KU Champs UK NIT chumps
UK would be nothing without KU teaching your coaches. Did Rupp think UK was right school to learn? Calapari? Dean Smith? Allen KU longest home winning streak UK NIT . Kentucky where you go with your sister/wife and no one cares. looking forward to laying another beat down on Calapari IF UK can make it into tourney?

End of argument
UK KU
Wins X
Winning % X
Tourneys X
Tourney wins X
ChampionshipsX
head2head X

What exactly makes us equal? Oh I see, that's why this arena is important to you all. You don't own us on ANYTHING. Hahahaha, all that, and your arena is still inferior. Just keep on debating, losers.
====================================
So I guess because Notre Dame has more national !@#$%les, wins, etc in football than Florida that Notre Dame could dominate Florida today...
========================================
What is your point? Your saying that all that doesn't matter because you think KU could beat UK today? Wrong! Not only are you all inferior in every bit of history, you are inferior today! We will prove it this year.
#195 - Rob - 05/15/2009 - 13:05
UK > KU!!!!
Kentucky is number 1 in attendance almost every year (this year no different)!! What's funny is that even after being "irrelevant" for a decade we are still #1 in all time wins. So, what does that tell you Kansas fans?? Oh wait you guys are #2 right?? No?? That's right your not. Oh and we're number 2 in NCAA Championships, and that's without counting helms as you all have been known to do!! You guys have a great program, but stop trying to compare it to Kentucky, we just had 10 down years and still have more wins/championships/tournament wins/yearly attendance and every thing else. You would think the place where basketball started would have the most all time wins right??

High Road
Reeding these posts reminds me of the chitter chatter I hear from my to 5 year olds. Folks, Both KU and uk are excellent programs with great tradition and history. Just becuase 14,000+ people vote does not make one arena better than another. What is wrong with giving propps to a fellow elite program and let things be. Unless you have been both AFH and ARA it is hard to take any vote with any seriousness. Besides, at the end of the day your votes are just opinions anyway. Should be a great year for both schools. Go Hawks!

To Bill Self
Shucks. I thought I'd address your question about why I never won a championship at Kansas.

Well, shoot, I was just a youngin' learnin' my way around the sidelines for the first 10 years or so. Frankly, it's amazing I went to two FF's right off the bat, bein' so wet behind the ears, like a !@#$% hound in a cornfield. After all, I'd never been a coach before. Shucks.

Plus, I never recruited the East Coast because I didn't want to step on my Master's -er- mentor's toes. Coach Smith, that is. That's just plain awkward. I never had an East Coast player on any of my KU teams. Think about it.

Bill Self, you sure get a lot of East Coast players.

Oh yeah, and I did choke a lot. I should have won in 1997 when I had 5 NBA players, including Paul Pierce, Raef LaFrentz and Jacque Vaughn. Probably, in 2002 or 2003, too. It's too bad Wayne Simien was hurt in 2003, or we might have won it. Or if we would have made more than 15 out of 31 free throws, or whatever it was. Doggone it.

Shucks.

UNC got the finished product. I still miss KU, though. I never would have left if'n it weren't for some family cir!@#$%stances. Oh well, KU has a better coach now, anyway.
