Bird, Magic inducted into Collegiate Hall of Fame


Magic Johnson and Larry Bird were inducted into the National Collegiate Basketball
Hall of Fame.
Forever linked by their classic matchup in the 1979 NCAA championship game and then moving to their intense rivalry in the NBA, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson were back together again for a special moment Sunday night as the two were inducted into the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame.

The game between Johnson's Michigan State Spartans and Bird's Indiana State team remains the highest rated televised college basketball game. The Spartans won the game 75-64 behind Johnson's 24 points.

'I think Indiana State and Michigan State put the madness in March,' said Johnson. 'He made me a better college player. He made me a better NBA player, and not just that, he made me a better man. I'm just happy that I had somebody that always was about raising the bar.'   continue>> ... Continue
