General News Alabama RB Coffee to enter NFL Draft |
Tuscaloosa, AL (Sports Network) - Alabama Crimson Tide running back Glen Coffee has chosen to forego his final year of eligibility in college football to enter the NFL Draft.
"I really enjoyed my time at the University of Alabama, but I think it is the right time for me to move on to the NFL," Coffee said. "Alabama has been a tremendous place for me to develop as both a football player and a person. I couldn't have asked for a better group of coaches. I want to personally thank Coach (Nick) Saban and Coach (Burton) Burns for everything they have done (for) me."
Coffee recorded 1,383 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, which is tied for the second-highest single season rushing yardage total in school history. In his three years with the Tide, Coffee totaled 2,107 yards, ranking him 11th on the school's all-time rushing list.
