General News Pitt's McCoy headed to NFL Draft |
Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - Pitt star running back LeSean McCoy will reportedly declare for the NFL draft, taking his 1,488 yards and 21 rushing touchdowns during a breakout season to the next level.
A report in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette detailed the decision, with McCoy reportedly contacting several former Pitt standouts, including Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, about his pro prospects.
McCoy carried Pitt's (9-4) offense in 2008, while also finishing second on the team with 32 catches for 305 yards.
