Cincinnati upends No. 21 Maryland in Maui

Mick Cronin's Cincinnati Bearcats upset the 21st-ranked Maryland Terrapins.

Yancy Gates scored 17 points and pulled down 13 rebounds as Cincinnati beat 21st-ranked Maryland, 69-57, in the semifinals of the Maui Invitational.

Deonta Vaughn added 16 points and five assists for the Bearcats (4-0), who will play Wednesday against the winner of the game between Gonzaga and Wisconsin. Lance Stephenson totaled 11 points and eight boards in the win.
