Freeman returns for Georgetown

Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Georgetown guard Austin Freeman was back in the starting lineup Saturday against Cincinnati after being diagnosed with diabetes earlier this week.

Freeman missed last Monday's game against West Virginia after being limited to just 23 ineffective minutes in last Saturday's game against Notre Dame. It was originally thought that Freeman had a stomach virus, but he underwent tests earlier this week to reveal the true nature of the problem.

The Verizon Center crowd erupted and gave the junior a standing ovation when he was introduced as part of the starting lineup. He responded in a big way, scoring 24 points to lead the 19th-ranked Hoyas to a resounding 74-47 win over the Bearcats.

Freeman entered the contest leading the Hoyas in scoring, averaging 17 points this season.
