Bowling Green Thumps Akron

Tyler Sheehan threw for 338 yards and a pair of touchdowns, as the Bowling Green Falcons notched a 36-20 win over the Akron Zips in Mid-American Conference play at Perry Stadium.

Sheehan completed 23-of-32 pass attempts for BGSU (6-5, 5-2 MAC), which won its third game in a row. His main target was Freddie Barnes, who hauled in 12 balls for 197 yards and two scores. Chris Bullock paced the ground attack, rushing for 90 yards and a touchdown on just eight carries.

Patrick Nicely led the charge for Akron (2-9, 1-6), as he completed 22-of-32 tosses for 259 yards and two touchdowns. Andre Jones grabbed eight of those passes for 114 yards and a touchdown, while Jeremy Bruce had five receptions for 47 yards and a score.
