Florida remains atop the latest Bowl Championship Series standings, as the top seven teams kept their spots from the previous week.
While the standings remained the same, the space between the top two teams shrank. This week, the Gators (11-0) garnered a .9664 average while Alabama (11-0) is second at .9614. Last week, Florida had a .9833 average and the Crimson Tide ranked second with a .9521 average, with that number being computed by averaging the percentage totals of the Harris Interactive poll, USA Today poll and computer rankings.
Florida and Alabama both won big this weekend and have one final hurdle remaining until the SEC Championship Game on December 5, which figures to serve as a de facto national semifinal if both stay undefeated until that date. The Gators host Florida State on Saturday, while the Crimson Tide visit Auburn for their annual Iron Bowl matchup.
