Tigers standing in way of 7-0 start for Musketeers

The 14th-ranked Xavier Musketeers resume their three-game homestand tonight, as they welcome the Auburn Tigers to the Cintas Center for a non-league affair.

The Musketeers kicked of their home swing on Saturday, scoring a 60-53 victory over Miami-Ohio. The win improved the team to 6-0 overall, marking its the best start ever under fifth-year head coach Sean Miller. It was also the third home win for Xavier, which will wrap up its homestand against Ohio University on December 10th.

As for Auburn, it is coming off a 67-61 loss to Northern Iowa on Saturday in a game that was part of the Chicago Invitational Classic. The loss was the second in a row following a wining streak of the same length. Now at an even 3-3 overall, the Tigers are set to play their first true road game of the season tonight. ... Continue
