Duquesne swingman Bolding out with fractured wrist

Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - Duquesne swingman Melquan Bolding is expected to be sidelined 4-to-6 weeks with a fractured right wrist.

The sophomore will undergo surgery on Tuesday.

Bolding was injured on a hard foul four minutes into Friday's season-opening win over Nicholls State. He remained in a game and scored a game-high 25 points in 36 minutes of action.

"There is no question Mel is, and will continue to be, a big part of our team," said head coach Ron Everhart. "I spoke to him late this afternoon and he is ready to have the surgery and get started on rehab as soon as he can."
