Updated Division I brackets

All five favorites managed to get through the opening round unscathed but that will change this week as Round Rock Stony Point goes on the road to face The Woodlands.

1. Fort Bend Hightower 11-0
Had little trouble in disposing of Galveston Ball with a 48-21 win. They'll face a stiffer test this week against a Beaumont West Brook team that recently upset Galena Park North Shore.
 
2. Dallas Skyline 11-0
As expected the Raiders were impressive in a 31-0 opening round win over Rowlett. A showdown with DeSoto this Saturday at 6 PM will be a much bigger challenge. The winner of this game could easily wind up the state champion of Division I. Skyline is favored but they'll have their hands full with a DeSoto team that has no shortage of talent.

3. The Woodlands 11-0
The Highlanders barely escaped against a very good Klein Forest team, winning 31-30. They'll get a rematch with the Stony Point Tigers. Stony Point knocked them out in the second round last season 21-7 in Round Rock. This time the game will be played at Woodforest Stadium in The Woodlands. Game time is set for 6 PM Saturday at Woodforest Stadium.

4. Round Rock Stony Point 10-1
Stony Point defeated Cy-Falls by a final of 56-7 and now have their eyes set on The Woodlands.

5. Euless Trinity 9-2
Dismantled Flower Mound 88-27 and will be heavy favorites in an area round showdown with perennial powerhouse Plano.
