Ohio State loses K Pettrey for season

Columbus, OH (Sports Network) - Ohio State senior kicker Aaron Pettrey will miss the rest of the season after suffering a torn ligament in his right knee during last weekend's 45-0 blowout of New Mexico State.

Head coach Jim Tressel indicated at his weekly press conference Tuesday that the kicking duties will fall to junior Devin Barclay. Freshman Ben Buchanan may also see action in the kicking game.

Pettrey, who was expected to undergo surgery Tuesday, was true on 13-of-19 field goals this year for the Buckeyes. Barclay has hit on 1-of-3 attempts this season.
