Gators top coaches' preseason poll
McLean, VA (Sports Network) - The defending national champion Florida Gators sit atop the preseason USA Today coaches' football poll. Florida, with Tim Tebow back at quarterback, received 53 first-place votes and a total of 1,466 points from a nationwide panel of 59 coaches. Texas picked up four first-place votes and is second, followed by Oklahoma and Southern California, which each notched one top vote. Alabama, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Penn State, LSU and Ole Miss round out the top 10. The second 10 consists of Oklahoma State, California, Georgia, Oregon, Georgia Tech, Boise State, TCU, Utah, Florida State and North Carolina. Utah was the lone undefeated team in major college football last year at 13-0. Iowa, Nebraska, Notre Dame, BYU and Oregon State are the last five teams ranked.
