Tyrik's College

After leading Sulphur Springs High School to the 2008 State Championship, standout quarterback Tyrik Rollison must now turn his attention to his next destination, college. That is easier said than done for the 2nd rated dual threat quarterback in Texas.

He already sports offers from Oregon, Texas A&M, Arizona, Baylor and Kansas State, and Oklahoma State is sure to offer him after his January 16th official visit. It is a lot to process for the 6?2? 185 lb. senior, but he does know what kind of offense he would like to be in. ?They all sling the ball around, being a quarterback, that?s what you want to do.? says Rollison.

That is what he did this season going 315 for 428 for 4728 yards for a completion percentage of .736. He also threw for 51 touchdowns to only 15 interceptions with 18 TD?s to only 1 interception in his school?s state championship run. He could fit right into any wide-open system offense anywhere he chooses.

Whatever school he ends up at, he will not make a decision until after the signing day though. ?I still need to take another test so I can get my stuff right.? Asked if he would consider any other school that gets into the picture late in the process, Tyrik says, ?the door is wide open for any school that shows interest.? Some school will get very lucky this spring.
