Is Josh Gordon Closing in on a Decision?

Houston, TX - With signing day less than a month away, the number of recruits that remain uncommitted is quickly dwindling.  One of the few that remain, Josh Gordon of Houston Lamar.

One of the top receivers in the state of Texas, Gordon is closing in on a decision.  With offers on the table from schools such as Arizona, Baylor, Missouri, Nebraska, and Texas Tech, he's got plenty of options.

But that wasn't always the case.  Bursting onto the scene after an impressive performance at last year's Army All-American Combine, Gordon has become a well known commodity in recruiting circles.

Just one look at him and it's easy to see why.

Standing 6'4", Gordon has the size colleges want on the outside.  His numbers on the field are just as enticing.  With his 25 receptions going for an average of 21 yards per catch, he is a proven playmaker.

The only question that remains about Gordon, who will he suit up for come next fall?

Right now, Baylor appears to be the leading candidate.  Looking for the chance to team up with a young quarterback, Gordon likes what the Bears and freshman signal caller Robert Griffin have to offer.

And while Baylor may be leading the way, other schools are still being considered as Gordon says Nebraska and Texas Tech are a close second and third.

With the signing period just a few weeks away, Gordon is expected to make a decision soon.  But as one of top uncommitted recruits in the state, don't be surprised if he waits until the last possible minute to make his choice.
