Floyd set to return for Notre Dame

South Bend, IN (Sports Network) - Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd has been cleared to return after recovering from a broken left collarbone and is expected to play Saturday when the 19th-ranked Fighting Irish host Navy.

Floyd was hurt during the third game of the season on September 19 against Michigan State. It was initially thought the sophomore would miss the remainder of the regular season.

In three games this season, Floyd has 13 receptions for 358 yards and five touchdowns.

Notre Dame head coach Charlie Weis added Tuesday that backup quarterback Dayne Crist suffered a torn ACL in his right knee during the fourth quarter of last week's game against Washington State and will miss the remainder of the season.
