National Signing Day: Brown Tuning Up For Nashville
Brady Brown has put up big numbers for Argyle over the last couple of years. Now Vanderbilt is hoping he does the same for them.
The 6-foot-5, 195-pound wide receiver will now be spending his fall playing for the Commodores after signing a letter of intent. After being looked at by schools such as Kansas, Nebraska and Stanford, Brown decided that Vandy was a good fit.
Brown is your typical possession wide receiver with great hands and awareness, toughness and the ability to catch everything thrown his way. He is a big target and has no fear going over the middle to make the grab. Brown finished his high school career at Argyle holding numerous receiving records. Over the last three years he had 2,435 yards receiving and 27 touchdowns and is a two-time Associated Press 3A All-State recipient.
But Brown understands that playing at the college level means putting in a lot of hard work. He says he wants to improve his route running and footwork to be able to get in and out of breaks quicker. He also says he lifts everyday to try to get bigger and faster for college play.
Brown is excited to be playing in the SEC. In a city that is known for its music, Brown is hoping to help set a winning tone in Nashville.
