Blake headed to Lubbock


Austin High receiver Emory Blake, one of the most highly recruited football players in Central Texas, has made a verbal commitment to play at Texas Tech, the Austin American-Statesman is reporting.

Blake was at Texas Tech over the weekend to witness Tech?s upset victory over Texas.

The leading Class 5A receiver in Central Texas, he is the son of former NFL quarterback Jeff Blake.

Colorado, Missouri and Texas were among the schools he was considering.
